Plaintiff, a lawyer admitted to practice in New York and Massachusetts, had three years from June 17, 2016, or, in other words, to June 17, 2019, to investigate and determine whether he had basis to bring a legal malpractice case against [EFC],” Magistrate Judge Katherine A. Robertson wrote. “Indeed, he apparently did so, since Thomas Murphy notified [EFC] by letter dated August 3, 2016, that [EFC] should put its liability carrier on notice of a potential liability claim. Plaintiff nonetheless failed to timely file this case.”
